We helped this client envision a full backyard makeover to remove their grass and create separate, functional spaces for them to enjoy. We designed an English Cottage style garden to compliment their traditional brick home, using natural stone, crushed stone pathways and xeriscape plantings.
We also installed an outdoor kitchen using cobblestone veneer that included a gas grill and lower area to set their Green Egg smoker.
Instead of trying to create a shade solution on their existing patio with full sun exposure, we moved their lounging area to an area of their yard that receives natural shade from the fence and evergreen tree. Behind the seating area is a trellis that has fragrant honeysuckle trailing up to give them a sweet scent to smell as they are relaxing together as a family.
